How does Cleero work?
As soon as you have installed our app for your Shopify store, you will be guided through our intuitive onboarding. In the first step, Cleero connects to your bank account and automatically reads all incoming payments. The app then matches these with the open orders in your Shopify store. If Cleero finds a matching payment, it is automatically assigned and the order is immediately marked as “paid.”
How exactly does Cleero connect to my bank account?
Cleero connects to your bank account through our certified financial partner and automatically reads all incoming payments.
What happens if a payment cannot be clearly assigned?
A payment that cannot be clearly assigned can be manually reviewed and assigned.
What information does Cleero use to assign incoming payments to the correct orders?
Cleero matches the order number in the payment reference, the amount, and the sender's name against all open orders.
What happens in the case of overpayments or differing amounts?
You can decide for yourself whether Cleero should accept deviations, and if so, how much.
Can Cleero also recognize partial payments?
Yes, Cleero automatically recognizes partial payments as such and correctly assigns them to the order. Only when the amount is 100% covered is the order marked as "paid".
Can Cleero also reconcile draft orders?
Yes, Cleero can also match draft orders. After a successful match, the draft order is automatically set to the status "completed". This creates an order that is then marked as paid immediately.
How often are payment receipts synchronized?
Incoming payments are synchronized up to 6 times a day. This depends on the respective bank account and how often the bank allows synchronization per day.
What are Cleero's cancellation terms?
You can cancel Cleero at any time. If you cancel, we only charge for the partial month.
Does Cleero comply with the GDPR? How secure is Cleero?
Yes, Cleero fully complies with the GDPR.
All personal data is processed exclusively in accordance with European data protection requirements. Cleero does not store any sensitive banking login data, but instead uses a certified banking provider that is authorized as a regulated third-party provider (AISP/PISP) under the European Payment Services Directive PSD2.
